Our policy is to make funds from your deposits available to you on the day we receive your deposit. Members must be aware that even after we have made funds available, as you withdraw from your deposits, you are responsible for checks deposited that may be returned as unpaid, and for any other charges or problems involving that deposit. Our experience with this policy has been positive. Occasionally, checks deposited by our members are returned for reasons of insufficient funds. We have been 100% successful in reclaiming those funds either by redepositing the check, which is honored, or contacting the member to bring funds sufficient to cover the dishonored check. Members have been cooperative in this regard. Our credit union must undergo an extensive legal compliance examination and a comprehensive audit. Each year we have met the tests of financial soundness and legal compliance successfully. |
